Description

The Kelly Rankin Artery Forcep 16 cm / 6-1/4" curved, combines extended reach with a curved tip for clamping deeper vessels in veterinary abdominal surgery.

01Product Overview

The Kelly Rankin Artery Forcep, 16 cm / 6-1/4" curved, combines the extended reach of the Rankin pattern with a curved tip. This combination is well suited to abdominal work. The length allows the jaws to reach a deeper pedicle or vessel while the hand remains outside the incision, and the curve permits the tip to be passed around the structure rather than requiring a direct straight approach.

Once applied, the curved body of the instrument also sits away from the veterinary surgeon's line of sight, which is a practical advantage when several clamps are in place simultaneously. The jaws are slim and serrated over the distal portion, and the ratchet holds the clamp during ligation. Where a practice holds only one Rankin pattern, the curved version is generally the more versatile choice, though many veterinary surgical packs include both to accommodate the presentation of the vessel.
