Description
The Backhaus Towel Forcep 11 cm / 3-1/2" is the larger drape clamp, suited to heavier drape material and large animal procedures.
01Product Overview
The Backhaus Towel Forcep, 11 cm / 3-1/2" is the larger of the two sizes offered. The additional length brings a longer point and a wider span, which is useful in two circumstances. The first is heavier drape material, where a short point may not penetrate reliably or may lose its hold under tension. The second is large animal and equine work, where drapes are larger and heavier and a small clamp is more readily dislodged.
The sharp curved tips cross under ratchet pressure to secure the material firmly. As with the smaller size, towel clamps are used in sets rather than individually. Practices working across both small and large animal patients commonly hold both sizes, since a clamp that is too heavy will drag a light small animal drape while one that is too small will not hold heavy material securely.
