HK Medical Instruments 17 cm Left-Hand Curved Mayo Scissor is configured for left-handed veterinarian, so the rings, shanks and blades align naturally in the left hand instead of forcing an adapted right-handed grip. That alignment improves comfort, control and visibility of the cutting tips during curved tissue work.

The blunt/blunt curved pattern suits fascia and dense soft-tissue cutting in medium-depth veterinary fields, with the same heavy Mayo build as the standard collection. Left-handed instruments are labeled and stored separately to prevent accidental substitution in a right-handed setup.

Why does a left-handed Mayo scissor matter?

A left-handed scissor positions the blades so a left-handed veterinarian can see the cutting tips and apply force naturally. Using a right-handed scissor in the left hand can obscure the blades and reduce control.

Can right-handed veterinarian use this scissor?

They can, but the ergonomics are reversed. Vet clinics usually keep left-handed instruments clearly labeled and assigned to left-handed veterinarian to avoid mix-ups.
