Description
The Poole Suction Tube 22 cm/8-3/4", 10 mm diameter, FR=30, has a perforated outer sleeve that clears fluid from body cavities without drawing tissue into the lumen.
01Product Overview
The Poole Suction Tube, 22 cm/8-3/4" with a 10 mm diameter and FR=30, is designed for clearing large volumes of fluid from a body cavity. Its defining feature is the perforated outer sleeve that surrounds the inner tube. Suction is drawn through many small openings rather than a single orifice, which prevents the tip from sealing itself against omentum or bowel wall and drawing tissue into the lumen.
A single ended sucker will do exactly that within a fluid filled abdomen, interrupting suction and risking injury. The outer sleeve can be removed for cleaning or for use as a conventional suction tip when directed suction is required. Applications include peritoneal lavage, evacuation of ascitic or septic fluid, and gastrointestinal procedures.
