The Jacobson Micro Scissor 22.5 cm curved, combines microsurgical tips with an unusually long spring handle. The length is deliberate and solves a problem specific to microsurgery at depth. Fine work requires a pen grip and free rotation of the instrument between the fingers, which a ring handled scissor cannot provide, yet a short micro scissor cannot reach a structure sitting deep within a cavity.
The extended spring body resolves both requirements, allowing delicate tips to be positioned at depth while the hand remains outside the field and retains full rotational control. The curved tips follow a vessel contour. The instrument is used in microvascular dissection, neurosurgical procedures and fine work within a deep operative site.
