Iris Operating Scissor 11.5 cm Straight

The Iris Operating Scissor, 11.5 cm straight, carries very short, sharply pointed blades on comparatively long shanks. That proportion is what defines an iris pattern and determines how it behaves. Because the blades are short, each closure produces only a small cut, so the operator advances along the intended line in a series of deliberate steps rather than in one long stroke that may overrun. Where a cut must stop at an exact point, this control is essential.

The straight configuration aligns the tips with the handle, which suits cutting along a line that runs directly away from the operator or trimming flush against a flat surface.
