Description
The Small Periosteal Elevator Fig. 10, is a narrower blade profile for beginning flap elevation in confined interdental spaces.
01Product Overview
The Small Periosteal Elevator, Fig. 10, offers a different blade profile to the Fig. 19 within the same small instrument family. Periosteal elevators are supplied in several figures because the shape of the blade determines where it can begin. Starting a flap requires the blade edge to be introduced at the gingival margin between teeth, and the width and curvature that fits comfortably in one location will not suit another.
Holding more than one figure means an appropriate starting profile is available for the site in question. Fig. 10 is the narrower profile and suits confined interdental spaces. As with all periosteal work, the blade is kept against bone throughout to raise the flap intact.
