Description

The Standard Operating Scissor 14.5 cm sharp/blunt straight is a general purpose surgical scissor with one pointed and one rounded blade tip.

01Product Overview

The Standard Operating Scissor, 14.5 cm sharp/blunt straight is the general purpose cutting scissor found in most surgical packs. The sharp/blunt tip configuration is the reason for its versatility. One blade terminates in a point that will initiate a cut in skin or tissue, while the opposing blade is rounded and may be introduced beneath tissue without puncturing what lies below. The instrument therefore performs both incising and safe undercutting, which a sharp/sharp or blunt/blunt pattern cannot do equally well.

Straight blades give a direct cutting line suited to sutures, dressings and general material. The standard operating 14.5 cm scissor is easily controlled. It is an economical instrument commonly held in numbers rather than singly.
