Description

The Bishop-Harman Forcep 8.5 cm / 3-1/2" with 1:2 teeth is a short fine ophthalmic forcep offering maximum tactile control when holding ocular tissue.

01Product Overview

The Bishop-Harman Forcep 8.5 cm / 3-1/2" with 1:2 teeth is a very short ophthalmic thumb forcep. The reduced length is its defining characteristic and is chosen deliberately. Ocular tissue must be held with an extremely light and precise touch, and a short instrument places the tips almost directly beneath the fingertips, giving the operator maximum tactile feedback and minimum leverage.

Less leverage means less risk of applying excessive force to a delicate structure. The fine 1:2 teeth hold conjunctiva and eyelid tissue securely without the firm pressure a serrated tip would require. HK Medical Instruments supplies this forcep within its veterinary eye pack, in both toothed and fine patterns.
