Description

The Allis-Baby Tissue Forcep 15 cm / 6" with 4:5 teeth is a ratcheted grasping forcep sized for canine soft tissue surgery, holding tissue without hand pressure.

01Product Overview

The Allis-Baby Tissue Forcep, 15 cm / 6" with 4:5 teeth is the larger of the two Baby pattern sizes. Two features distinguish it from the 13 cm version. The additional length provides greater reach, which is required when grasping tissue within a canine abdomen rather than a feline one, and the 4:5 tooth arrangement gives a broader and more secure hold on larger or heavier tissue.

The ratchet lock allows the instrument to remain in place once applied, holding a mass, a uterine horn or a tissue edge without occupying the veterinary surgeon's hand. As with all Allis patterns, the teeth mark the tissue they grip, so the instrument is applied to structures that are to be removed or retracted rather than to tissue that will remain.
