Description
The Spencer Fine Operating Scissor 11 cm is the mid size suture removal scissor, with a hooked blade that lifts the strand before cutting.
01Product Overview
The Spencer Fine Operating Scissor, 11 cm is the middle of the three sizes and the one most practices use routinely. The hooked lower blade functions identically to the smaller version, sliding beneath the suture and lifting it clear of the skin so it can be cut and withdrawn without dragging contaminated material through the tract.
The additional 2 cm over the 9 cm pattern provides slightly more reach and a more substantial feel in the hand, which many find easier to control during a consultation when the patient is conscious and may move. It is the practical default for routine suture removal appointments and is commonly held in quantity across consulting rooms.
